I had a great time staying at Cecilia. The hostel had a friendly atmosphere, and we felt very welcome. The rooms were nice, and the roof terrace was fabulous with floor cushions and tables. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The location was convenient, close to shops and restaurants. Our spacious bedroom had a high ceiling and an old balcony with amazing views. The pricing was excellent, and I even got a room with a private bathroom for the price of a room with a shared bathroom.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Cecillia hostel is the simply the best hostel downtown made foe budget travellers. The description and the pictures that you see on the internet is what you will see on your arrival. Honestly it is the cheapest but most honest and fair hostel in my opinion in downtown cairo. It is safe and fun. I personally loved the terace, in the morning during breakfest amd at night the breeze and tv was an amazing experience.
If there was something outstanding that was negative that happend during my stay i would write it here, but seriously i enjoyed this hostel. I advise it to everyone.

I recently stayed at Cecilia in Cairo for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. The location was perfect, within walking distance of the old Egyptian Museum and Tahrir Square. The rooftop lounge offered a stunning view of the city and was a great place to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. I also appreciated being upgraded to a better room without any extra charge. my stay at Cecilia was comfortable, convenient, and memorable.
Totally recommend this hotel.

I liked in this hostel only lovely big balcony for having breakfast and rest.
When i came they did not change bed linen for me after last guest, everywhere i found long black hairs: in shower, in bed. For 5 days i have been in that hostel noone came to change rubbish bin. Girl on reception does not speak english at all and was mean and rude with me. And it was too difficult to close door with key, because catches are so old there. Hostel is located on 6th floor. And when i came man on reception said that lift was not working but they reaiping and it will work in 2 days. But for all 5 days i had to use stairs because all this time they were still repairing it. Every morning i woke up at 8 when they started to serve breakfast, because pipes in my room made so awful sound every time they switched on water in next room to me.

Great location near popular attractions and easy to meet people. Good breakfast included. Best aspect: Wonderful view from the terrace.
Overpriced for the quality. Dirty and smelly rooms with uncomfortable beds.

When I arrive in Cairo, I had hardly any plans about what I would be doing-- I generally make it up as I go along. The staff helped me to organise three day trips to the Pyramids and Saqqara, Alexandria, and around Cairo itself. They employ a quality tour agency and the best drivers/guides for a very reasonable rate. Cecilia staff also payed me every possible courtesy and did their very utmost to ensure my comfort and happiness. I have never had better service at any place of accomodation.
I honestly can't think of a single thing.

Great location, just a short walk away from major attractions and the Nile River. Breakfast included with a variety of bread options, perfect to start the day. The staff is friendly and helpful, always there to assist with any questions or concerns.
Some of the rooms were not properly cleaned, with dirty toilets and stains. The noise level was quite high, which made it difficult to sleep.

great views from the room's balcony, excellent for winter mornings. Friendly staff, clean environment, and a lively rooftop cafe. A mix of foreign and local guests. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Cairo.
Dirty facilities and carpets.

I had a fantastic stay at a budget-friendly hostel. The location was perfect, being close to the metro stop and in the center of the city. I was able to easily explore Cairo downtown, visit the Cairo Nat'l Museum, and even stroll along the Nile River. The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely view from the balcony. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home. Oh, and the breakfast was absolutely satisfying, giving me a great start to my day.
The common terrace was not very welcoming. It was always occupied or dirty, so I didn't get a chance to enjoy it.

I had a great trip to Cairo and stayed at the amazing Cecilia Hostel. The staff was professional, friendly, and gave me excellent advice for my excursions. The breakfast was delicious with a different menu every morning. The double room was spacious and comfortable, offering a nice view of the city. I really appreciated the helpfulness of the owner, George, who went above and beyond to assist me. Highly recommended!
I would definitely recommend this hotel.
